Established in 2016 on a beachside hostel with 2 pairs of huaraches, one napkin sketch, and multiple rounds of bottomless mimosas 🥂
Originally incepted as a swimwear brand, along our journey we eventually went back to our Mexican roots and pivoted to collaborating with artisan families from Michoacán, México.
Inspired by the huarache sandals we wore during our mimosa fueled business brainstorm; it was inevitable that our flagship product would be huaraches. The footwear we have very fond memories of growing up. From watching our abuelos slide on a pair and relax with an ice cold cerveza after a long day at work. Running with our own pair on the white Cancún sand, feeling the sun-kissed goodness & beach breeze in our feet as it all flowed through the fine leather strips. And how can we forget mamá reaching for her own pair to discipline us with the rubber tire sole? 😅
We've since expanded to other artisan products that we've encountered in our travels and remain true to the lifestyle, while collaborating with the native artisans. Our most recent collaboration is with the women of the Wayuu tribe from La Guajira, Colombia.
